Sorry for the late response y'all! I thought I would hold off on writing my next blog until I got home, but I got sick with some kind of stomach bug the day after and haven't been feeling well. Honestly, I'm still having problems, so I'll get that checked out by the University medical staff... when I get back from Scotland that is!
Anyway... Wales. Oh my, what an awesome country! The scenery while driving through Wales in Autumn is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and that's coming from someone who has lived in both Colorado and Hawaii. It honestly looked directly out of the Shire from The Lord of the Rings trilogy with how beautiful and quaint the countryside was.

Perfectly Picturesque (don't mind the reflections of the bus)! The city of Cardiff was also one of the best cities I've been to. Being a newer city (it only got the status of "city" in 1905 and became the capital in 1955), it is more modern and reminded me more of home. Not to mention the hotel we stayed in was great! I was only there one night, but my friends and I had a wonderful time seeing the city's beautifully lit arcades and malls, large strips of road corralled off for pedestrian use and lined with shops, bars and restaurants.

Even the castle was more modern, having been almost entirely remade in 1897 and thus looked in mint condition. However, that wasn't the only castle we saw. Wales has over 600 of them along with plenty other ruins, like Tyntan Abbey!
